I've done shows and spoken many times about the Left's attack on black conservatives. From Dr. Ben Carson to Herman Cain to Deneen Borelli and many others, the hateful rhetoric directed their way because of their conservative beliefs is beyond disgraceful.
The latest attack came from an influential leader within the NAACP, Rev. William Barber. Over the weekend, Rev. Barber compared Republican Senator Tim Scott to a ventriloquist dummy. Sen. Scott is a black conservative from South Carolina.
According to the State, Rev. Barber said the following: “A ventriloquist can always find a good dummy.” He said “the extreme right wing down here (in South Carolina) finds a black guy to be senator and claims he’s the first black senator since Reconstruction and then he goes to Washington, D.C., and articulates the agenda of the Tea Party.”
Senator Scott has since responded to the remarks, “... I will honor the memory of Dr. King by being proactive in holding the door for others and serving my fellow man. And Rev. Barber will remind me and others of what not to do."
While the Left preaches tolerance and diversity, that apparently only applies to what they deem “acceptable.” Being black and being conservative is apparently not on their list.
