Marine Cpl. Armando Torres III was kidnapped in Mexico on May 14th along with his father, Armando Torres II and, uncle Salvador Torres (both Mexican citizens). Armando's father owned a ranch on the U.S. border in La Barranca, Tamaulipas. The ranch is located adjacent to the Los Indios bridge, a strategic location for the country's drug trade and it is believed their kidnapping is part of a land grab by the drug cartels.
While the country is polarized over the George Zimmerman verdict and thousands of people are rallying and rioting, why can't the country mobilize to ensure that a Marine who risked his life to protect our liberties is returned home safely? Where is the public outcry?
Maybe before President Obama gallivants away to Martha's Vineyard for yet another vacation, he can take action and ensure that Cpl. Torres is brought home safely.
