The IRS is steeped in scandal after admitting that it targeted conservative groups. And a few weeks ago we learned about millions of dollars that were being wasted on IRS conferences, which included dancing and Star Trek parody videos. Remember that?
Well the IRS is back in the news and you taxpayers aren't going to like this one bit.
According to Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, the IRS is going to pay $70 million in employee bonuses. The IRS has an agreement with the union, which it is expected to uphold. This is in spite of the fact that the Obama administration issued a directive to cancel discretionary bonuses because of automatic spending cuts enacted this year.
Senator Grassley says, "The IRS always claims to be short on resources. But it appears to have $70 million for union bonuses. And it appears to be making an extra effort to give the bonuses despite opportunities to renegotiate with the union and federal instruction to cease discretionary bonuses during sequestration."
The news just keeps on coming, at the expense of your tax dollars!
