No, this is not an April Fools joke. The Anointed One has issued a Presidential Proclamation declaring April 2013 to be … National Financial Capability Month! The proclamation reads, “Together, we can prepare young people to tackle financial challenges -- from learning how to budget responsibly to saving for college, starting a business, or opening a retirement account.” It also states, “I call upon all Americans to observe this month with programs and activities to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices.”
The hypocrisy of this proclamation is laughable. This is coming from a man who has added over $6 trillion to our national debt, and by the end of his second term will have added more to out national debt than all previous presidents combined. As pointed out by CNSNews, he alone has increased the national debt by $53,377 per household. Also, he has the audacity to issue this proclamation about the importance of budget responsibility while he himself has yet to submit a budget for this year! On top of all this, who is this president to tell us of budget responsibility when he is taking lavish vacations every month at taxpayer expense?
