What NOT to do if you want to get on the radio

by Lauren | 2:33pm ET

As some of you may know, I handle the call screening for Sean’s show. On occasion, I fill in as the call screener for The Great One, Mark Levin. This caller you hear on the recording has been calling shows at WABC for years now. I decided a while ago that I wouldn’t put him on-air and now after hearing these messages I’m quite happy with my decision to ban him.

When I filled in for Mark Levin’s show two weeks ago, this crazy caller was upset that I wouldn’t put him on air (nothing new there). But, when I returned to work on Monday morning, I was greeted with 8 new voicemails from him on my personal work number.

Here are some of the highlights. Please notice the time stamps. His first call was on a Friday at 8:18 p.m. and he kept calling and leaving messages until 9:43 p.m. that night (yet he calls me the “immature, sick individual”).

I think my favorite part of his messages is when he says there’s something “demented’ about my behavior. I couldn’t help but think to myself, “Aren’t you the one who is (probably sitting in their underwear in their mother’s basement) calling a young woman seething with anger and cursing at her because you couldn’t get on a radio show?”

Just some advice for anyone wishing to get on the radio: Don’t do what this guy did. It won’t help your cause…

And some personal advice for this specific caller: You need anger management therapy. Lucky for you there are lots of options in New Jersey.
