IBM CEO Ginni Rometty will announce the tech giant’s plan to hire 2,000 U.S. military veterans during a meeting with President Trump and German Chancellor Merkel on Friday.
The veterans will be hired, re-educated, and re-certified over a four-year period.
The report, released by Axios, also outlines IBM’s plans to open 20 additional P-TECH schools in the United States. The schools allow students to graduate with a high school diploma and associate degree in technology in under five years.
Rometty, who serves on President Trump’s business advisory board, will announce the plans at a meeting with tech leaders, the German chancellor, and President Trump.
