The University of California at Berkeley turned into a scene of anarchy on Wednesday evening as leftist-agitators rioted on campus in reaction to a scheduled speech from Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos. Masked anarchists committed acts of arson, assault, and damaged property.
Administrators ended up canceling the event about two hours prior to the scheduled speech, blaming the violence on "150 masked agitators."
University Police ordered a campus lockdown and advised students to shelter in place:
In a number of cases, supporters of Donald Trump found themselves the target of agitator-violence. In one particular incident that was caught on camera, Kiara Robles, a young woman who had hoped to attend the event, was doused with pepper spray while being interviewed by a local ABC News affiliate.
