Chaos at the Border
Today we're in Texas, as President Obama and Governor Rick Perry meet to discuss the crisis unfolding at our border. However, Obama still refuses to visit the border. Yesterday Obama requested upwards of $4 billion from Congress in order to fund additional resources for the situation at our border. According to the Wall Street Journal, this money would go towards overtime pay for Border Patrol agents and money for new detention facilities and immigration judges. It also includes $18 million to provide legal services for these illegal immigrants. Make no mistake, this crisis isn't simply limited to our borders. Towns across America are receiving busloads of illegal immigrants, like this small town in Michigan. We've witnessed some of the backlash, like what took place in Murietta, California, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more citizens around the country articulating their concerns.

The Spin Continues
The latest liberal spin surrounding Obama's decision not to visit the border while in Texas is that it would be a waste of taxpayer money. Nice try. Earlier this week we had a report, which found that Obama's vacations and overseas trips makes him the most expensive, well-traveled president in American history. Not to mention the fact that we could fill an entire three hours reading out examples of wasteful government spending, on projects and studies that are completely absurd. He's willing to spend our tax dollars on trips and golf games but not to witness the humanitarian crisis plaguing our border? That says something about his priorities.
The other liberal spin is that building a fence is pointless, because children would still come and just stand behind it. That's according to House Democratic Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer. He says children would still come and stand at the fence, implying that we would be callous to see them wait there for days without doing something about it. Therefore, securing the borders with a fence must be pointless.

Time to Impeach Obama?
Sarah Palin says that this border crisis is the last straw and that it is time to impeach Obama. She writes in a Breitbart exclusive, "Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, 'no mas.'" She says, "If after all this he's not impeachable, then no one is." I agree with Palin, Mark Levin and Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley that the lawlessness of this president is dangerous and seems to know no bounds. Unfortunately those who can actually do something about it in Washington lack a political backbone.
