They saying used to go, "loose lips sink ships." Today, we might say loose lips get U.S. assets killed.
Hillary Clinton is coming under fire from Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton for discussing an Iranian scientist who recently executed for treason by the Iranian government on her insecure email server. Shahdom Amiri was executed by the Iranian regime for allegedly giving information about the Iranian nuclear program to the United States.
Senator Cotton claims that Clinton and senior members of her staff openly discussed Amiri in her published emails.
"Of course, I'm not going to comment on what he may or may not have done for the United States government," Cotton said on Face The Nation. "But in the e-mails that were on Hillary Clinton's private server, there were conversations among her senior advisers about this gentleman. That goes to show just how reckless and careless her decision was to put that kind of highly classified information a private server. I think her judgment is not suited to keep this country safe."
The New York Times reported that that regime officials executed Amiri for revealing top secret information to the United States Government.
"Shahram Amiri was hanged for revealing the country’s top secrets to the enemy," said Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, a spokesman for Iran’s Justice Ministry, to reporters in Tehran.
