Republican National Convention: Day Three

Eric Trump fired back at CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta on Monday, ripping the liberal journalist for saying President Trump’s allegations of “fake news” was “bad for our democracy.”

Acosta posted his sanctimonious comment on social media early Monday, slamming the President and his supporters for attacking CNN as “fake news,” saying it “may feel good to some” but was bad for the country.

"Calling the American news media 'fake news' may feel good to some. It may energize the base. But it's bad for our democracy."

The President’s son immediately pushed back against the left-wing reporter, blasting the network and Acosta for giving debate questions to Hillary Clinton ahead of CNN’s nationally televised presidential debate.

“Suddenly @CNN has a moral compass?” he mockingly asked.

Eric Trump's comments refer to reports that network correspondent and former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile intentionally leaked debate questions to democratic nominee Hillary Clinton during the 2016 general election.

This isn't the first time CNN's Acosta has traded barbs with members of the Trump family. Earlier this month, Donald Trump Jr. ripped the journalist after the news anchor attacked President Trump for posting the now infamous 'body-slamming' wrestling video.
