Former Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton doubled-down on her vicious description of Donald Trump voters; standing by her previous comments where she labeled his supporters as a “basket of deplorables.”

The doomed nominee was speaking with CBS News when she made the surprising statement, saying that she thought then-candidate Trump was “behaving in a deplorable manner,” and that his “appeals to voters were deplorable.”

“You can put half of Trump’s supporters in what I call a basket of deplorables,” said the democrat during a campaign event ahead of the 2016 general election.

“Why do you think that word ‘deplorable’ was circulating in your mind?” asked CBS’ Jane Pauley.

“I thought Trump was behaving in a deplorable manner. I thought a lot of his appeals to voters were deplorable. I thought his behavior, as we saw on the ‘Access Hollywood’ tape was deplorable. And there were a large number of people who didn’t care. It did not matter to them,” said Hillary.

“But you offended some people who didn’t personally feel deplorable at all,” Pauley pressed.

“I don’t buy that, I don’t buy that. I’m sorry I gave them a political gift of any kind, but I don’t think it was determinative,” responded the former Secretary of State.
