A Virginia couple was apparently able to fool the Secret Service and crashed a dinner party being held at the White House this past Tuesday. Tareq and Michaele Salahi, vying for a spot on a Washington D.C. based reality show, may have had to lie to Secret Service agents to gain entrance to the Obama’s first state dinner. Secret Service officials admitted that the couple’s identities were never checked against the guest list. The cash strapped couple is now apparently willing to give an interview for $500,000. And you want the government to run health care…they can barely manage a guest list!
Climate Change Scandal
Numerous emails and documents surfaced last week from some of the world’s leading climatologists that offer evidence that scientists were manipulating the data to support their own preconceived notions. Sean mentioned a great article in the Wall Street Journal today that sheds some light on exactly why this was done. These scientists received millions of dollars in research money to study climate change. To keep this money coming in, scientists need to keep the fear going. Anything that called into question their most dire estimates of climate change disaster would put all that funding at risk. Sean also added that this entire climate change debate is really an attack on capitalism. “[Because they believe] capitalism is evil,” said Sean, “Because [they believe] capitalism is about raping and pillaging the planet earth for profits. It’s because capitalism doesn’t institute this societal redistribution of wealth changes they all want, which is their goal.”
Former Congressman J.C. Watts called into the program during the show’s last hour. When asked by Sean if he thought he would receive an invite to the White House Christmas Party, the Congressman replied, “I’m not gonna hold my breath.” Sean, having not been invited either, felt he had identified a trend. If you disagree with Obama’s policies, then you’re not on the guest list…not that that matters, especially after Mr. and Mrs. Salahi demonstrated how easy it is to walk into the White House uninvited. Watts described the waste, fraud and abuse that occur at the highest levels of government. The Congressman voiced concern that the same government that has mismanaged Medicaid and bungled Social Security could potentially run and manage national health care.
J. C. Watts, Jr. (born November 18, 1957) is an American politician and Canadian Football League player from Oklahoma. Watts served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003 as a Republican, representing the 4th congressional district in south-central Oklahoma.
