Is Obama Protecting You?
A super charged Sean Hannity took to the airwaves this afternoon ready to roll after a restful holiday break. He kicked off the show’s first hour with a question: what is Obama’s biggest responsibility? Answer: to protect you, the American citizen. “The top priority of any president is to protect you. To protect this country from our enemies,” said Sean. “That is their number one job. Obama has had one full year in office, and all he has done is let the enemies of liberty and freedom know that he is not the leader that the [terrorists] are used to dealing with.” Our enemies now see a president who bows down to others, going so far as to exchange pleasantries with murderous dictators like Hugo Chavez. Obama has even complained of the United States’ arrogance. “Obama is so pathetically slow to react in just about every case,” Sean fumed. “The president is just a lightweight.”
In the midst of double digit unemployment, the doubling of our debt in a year – Democrats vote for a bill that will ultimately raise health insurance premiums. “This bill,” Sean explained, “will deeply cut Medicare for millions of seniors.” Besides the price increase, Sean is most troubled by the bribery with which Obama Care is fraught. First, ‘The Louisiana Purchase’ deal paid out 300 million dollars in Medicaid funding to the state of Louisiana in exchange for U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu’s vote. Then, news hit that Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson was awarded $100 million for Medicaid for his state in exchange for his cooperation. It seems as though the Democrats have "bought" any politician needed to pass their bill!
Michael Steele: Right Now!
Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele joined Sean on the NewsMaker hotline to talk about his new book, “Right Now: A 12-Step Program For Defeating The Obama Agenda.” In the book, Steele blows the whistle on the Obama agenda. The chairman throws down the gauntlet, insisting Republicans must expose and refute the policies lying at the heart of this administration’s attempts to resurrect a discredited brand of extreme liberalism. Steele told Sean that the U.S. needs to return to its core conservative principles and suggested that Americans should start a grassroots campaign for limited government. “The path to a Republican renaissance has already been laid,” said Steele. “The target is the Obama agenda, the method is active opposition, and the time is Right Now!”
