Fighting A War Without Bullets?
A shocking story reported by revealed that commanders have ordered a U.S. military unit in Afghanistan to patrol with unloaded weapons, according to a source in Afghanistan. Chris Carter from writes, “American soldiers in at least one unit have been ordered to conduct patrols without a round chambered in their weapons, an anonymous source stationed at a forward operating base in Afghanistan said in an interview.” Sean was livid, “If this report is accurate and that’s the case, then this is beyond scary. If we’re going to telegraph our moves to the enemy and prevent our troops from fighting back how can you morally justify putting them in that position?” The article concludes, “Hopefully, our military won't experience another preventable mass casualty incident like the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing. But with our leaders repeating the failures of the past by not permitting our troops to carry loaded weapons, it seems we have become our own worst enemy.” To read the entire article click here.

The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America
In the show’s final hour, Sean welcomed Andrew McCarthy, author of the new book, “The Grand Jihad”, to the program. McCarthy is a former federal prosecutor who prosecuted the “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel Rahman and eleven other jihadists for bombing the World Trade Center in 1993. McCarthy’s new book he explains that the real threat to the Unites States is not terrorism, it’s Islamism. He contends that Islamism has collaborated with the American Left to undermine U.S. national security and to destroy our freedom and individual liberty. “The Grand Jihad” provides a detailed account of how the Islamist movement’s jihad involves more than just terrorist attacks and how the movement has found the ideal partner in Barack Obama, whose Islamist sympathies run deep. McCarthy’s explosive new book, destined to set off a firestorm of controversy, hits stores today. You can pick up your copy by clicking here.

Economic Woes Continue
U.S. stocks suffered a late-day sell-off today as a rush of selling in the financial sector, initially started by concerns about Spanish banks, wiped out solid gains in the technology sector and left the Dow at its lowest level in more than three months. Earlier today, Spain seized control of savings bank CajaSur. The bank failure increased the level of concern about European sovereign debt. Many analysts fear Europe’s economic troubles may foreshadow what will happen in the United States if our deficits continue to skyrocket unchecked. Sean believes that the United States may have to take some severe austerity measures. “You think any of us are going to be able to retire with social security at 62 or 65? Forget it! It’s not gonna happen. They’re gonna raise the retirement age, probably to a week before you’re scheduled to die. You’ll pay into social security all your life and then the government will step in and basically steal all of that money.”
