Fighting A War With One Hand Tied Behind Your Back
A frustrated Gov. Bobby Jindal joined Sean in the show’s second hour to discuss the ongoing cleanup and containment efforts underway in the Gulf region…or should we say lack of cleanup. Jindal described to Sean his immense frustration with the Obama administration and the federal government over the oil disaster. “They’re not treating this like an emergency,” Jindal told Sean. “We’re in a war to save our lives down here and defeat is not an option. I just wish our federal government had the same sense of urgency.” Reports of the Obama administration finally accepting foreign aid in dealing with the spill lends credence to Jindal’s frustrations. More than 30 countries and international organizations have offered to help with the spill, but up until yesterday (69 days since the spill) our government had refused this assistance {Article}.

US Economy Creates Less Jobs Than Expected
In what wasn’t a shock to Sean, the AP reported today that the US economy created far fewer job than originally anticipated for June. Nonfarm private employment increased 13,000 from May to June on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to a survey by payrolls firm ADP. “Ooohhh, they created a whopping 13,000 jobs last month,” Sean said sarcastically. “We’re about to lose 300,000 of those temporary jobs for those people working for the census. There’s nobody to blame here but Obama. This European socialist, redistributing wealth model – in other words Socialism – is destroying wealth and is destroying livelihoods.” {Article}

Daniel Hannan Warns America
Sean welcomed Daniel Hannan, British politician and Member of the European Parliament, to the show’s final hour. Hannan made a stunning confession to Sean and the rest of America – that he had supported Obama during the elections. “Ok, I was wrong, I never should have supported Obama,” Hannan said sheepishly to Sean. “I just felt Obama would have made America more popular to have a mixed race president who had opposed the Iraq war. We was a good speaker and seemed to have this Reagan like ability to radiate optimism and I was pretty hopeful. However, the way he’s governed is not the way he campaigned,” Hannan told Sean. Mr. Hannan then offered an eye opening warning to America. “Obama is ‘Europianizing’ your economy. I’m living in your future. My presence here as a member of the European Parliament is a grizzly vision of America’s future. As someone who is standing at the end point of Obama’s vision of the future, I would gently warn you against it,” Hannan concluded.
