Economic “Recovery” Losing Steam?
The US economy lost 125,000 jobs in June, more than economists had forecast, as thousands of temporary census jobs ended and private hiring grew less than expected. And though the unemployment rate unexpectedly fell to 9.5% from 9.7%, Sean pointed out it was largely due to more people dropping out of the labor force. The report was the latest sign that the economic recovery may be faltering. “The real unemployment number is 17.5% and growing higher. What’s happening is that when you add the underemployed and those that are so disenchanted that they can’t find jobs after a year – they give up! They stop looking for work! Things are not looking particularly good. Unfortunately for the country every indicator we have out there shows that we’ve got a lot of issues that we have to worry about,” Sean concluded {Article}.

Finding Something To Like About Obama
Media personality Stephen A. Smith joined Sean in the show’s second hour and urged Sean to find one area or issue that he agreed with Obama on. Smith explained to Sean that this would help him come across as “more objective.” Sean nearly laughed out of his chair at Smiths’ statement. “I owe this audience, I’m promising them, the best news and information available out there on their radio dial. I’m promising the best guests, best election coverage – I’m doing all of that. You want me to just look for, find and manufacture a phony opinion so that I can prove to liberals who are never going to like me anyway, that I’m going to be a fair and honest broker about Obama. Here’s the reality: I am being fair! I’ve got Obama pegged. He is, has been and will always be a rigid, leftist ideologue. He is not pursuing policies that are in the best interest of this country. That is my honest, heartfelt and sincere opinion that I’m giving to my audience so they can be an informed electorate,” Sean explained to Stephen A.

Gov. Brewer Takes On Obama
Arizona Governor Jan Brewer joined Sean to discuss her ongoing immigration fight with Obama. Two weeks ago Brewer met with the president to talk about her controversial immigration bill. At that meeting Obama promised to continue the dialogue about illegal immigration and also offer assistance to Arizona. Since that time the federal government has erected signs along the Arizona border which read "Danger - Public Warning, Travel Not Recommended." “It’s an outrage,” Brewer told Sean. “"Two weeks ago I met with President Obama. He promised that we would get word from his administration," Brewer says. "Well, we finally got the message: these signs. These signs are calling our desert an active drug and human smuggling area. These signs are warning people of danger and telling them to stay away," Brewer said. "Yet, Washington says our border is as safe as it’s ever been.” Brewer told Sean that she wants 3,000 National Guard troops sent to her state and 6,000 total sent to the border.
