Bachmann Sets Timetable For Presidential Decision
Rep. Michele Bachmann hasn't officially thrown her hat in the 2012 presidential race yet, but with several reason trips to early primary states, she certainly appears to be leaning in that direction. A final decision could be mere months away. In the meantime, she is staying busy in Washington fighting to keep the government from shutting down in just eight days. Sean sat down with Bachmann to get her reaction to the countdown to the shutdown plus more on her possible presidential plans. “We had a great reaction when I was in Iowa,” Bachmann said commenting on her possible future campaign plans. “I met with a lot of people from different walks of life. Just a tremendous response and we has said that if I do make a decision to throw my hat in, we'll make it probably in early summer.” Bachmann said she felt there was a new sense of urgency in Washington to get a budget passed. “They want the country to work again. It is not working. We want to cut spending. And we also want to defund Obama Care. We're trying to work on behalf of the American people and actually get something done that they want us to do. And unfortunately, Chuck Schumer and the liberals are just trying to make political points.” To watch Sean’s entire interview with Rep. Bachmann, please click here.
Farrakhan Defends Libya's Gaddafi As 'Brother'
Crazy “Louie” Farrakhan, the controversial Nation of Islam leader, defended Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi today, calling the U.S. action in Libya hypocrisy. Speaking from the pulpit of Chicago's Mosque Maryam, the Nation of Islam's international headquarters, purchased 40 years ago with a $3 million loan from Gaddafi, Farrakhan blamed demons for altering President Barack Obama's moral conscience and driving the assault on Gaddafi, who he calls a brother. “If I’m in the Obama-mania thrill up my leg media, I’d want to know what the nature of the relationship is between Farrakhan and Obama. Farrakhan is virulent in terms of his racism and anti-Semitism. If the president, for any length of time, was friends with, hung out with, sought counsel of Farrakhan I think it’s an important point [to consider come election time],” Sean said.
