Benjamin Netanyahu A Lot Like Reagan
Standing Ovations for Benjamin Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Congress today regarding potential peace agreements. Netanyahu had, as Sean expressed, a “Reaganesque” moment that highlighted the entire event when he told Congress, “President Abbas must do what I have done. I stood before my people -- and I told you, it wasn't easy for me -- I stood before my people and I said, "I will accept a Palestinian state." It's time for President Abbas to stand before his people and say, "I will accept a Jewish state." Sean was so impressed with that saying, “Wow, what an incredible challenge, and look at the contrast in style and understanding is outstanding.” For a full recap of the speech, click here.
Governor Rick Perry
Sean spent some time talking with Texas Governor Rick Perry to get his thoughts on the upcoming 2012 elections. “After your legislative session ends will you sit down and think about getting into the Presidential race,” pressed Sean, “We need a new President.” Perry, declining to give in to Sean’s pressure responded, “I have gone through that process but at this time my focus is on the legislative session and I’m single focused on making Texas as competitive as possible.
Israeli Relations
Erick Stakelbeck author of the book, “The Terrorist Next Door”, stopped by the show to give his take on Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech. “Obama completely stuck to what he said last Thursday which was that Israel needs to stick with the pre-1967 borders,” offered Stakelbeck, “Israel is about the size of New Jersey and it would be reduced to the size of Delaware if they went back to those borders.” In the end, what President Obama has yet to realize, is a strong Israel is a strong United States. Hopefully Sean can continue to send the message. For more on Stakelbeck's book, click here.
