Democrats own this economy

The Democrats Economy
Sean began Friday’s show criticizing Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’ recent comments admitting,”We own the economy.” “She said we own the economy,” a confused Hannity questioned, “Since last summer, the average length of unemployment has increased from 38 weeks to 40 weeks and the average price of gasoline has nearly doubled.” In light of those staggering statistics, it’s clear that last year’s “Summer of Recovery” was a complete failure. If this is the economy that Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz was referring to, she can have it and we can wait for one with lower taxes and less government spending. Ann Coulter: What Happened to Weiner?
Best selling author Ann Coulter joined Sean to discuss Congressman Weiner’s recent departure from Congress. “You can’t write this story,” laughed Hannity, “This whole thing got way out of control.” Hannity continued, “Didn’t Chris Lee just write a letter, couldn’t Weiner have just done that?” Coulter, summed it up well saying, “I suppose there were moments where I felt sorry for him but this is clearly not humiliating for him otherwise you wouldn’t see pictures of Anthony Weiner running to the dry cleaner or running some other useless errand while chatting to the media.” This is a fair point and it’ll be interesting to see Anthony Weiner next to Elliot Spitzer on TV in a few months.

2012 Watch With Karl Rove
Sean was joined by Karl Rove to discuss his thoughts about the GOP primary. “This past debate had the big winner of being Bachmann and Romney, do you agree with that,” asked Sean. “I agree but let’s remember this is a contest in individual states like Iowa and South Carolina,” noted Rove, “So we need to caution ourselves to read the national polls because there’s very local politics.” Karl Rove is going to join Sean throughout the summer to break down the nomination process as it unfolds.
