Bachmann On Flake Controversy

Bachmann On 'Flake' Controversy
Calling her a "flake" would be "insulting," Rep. Michele Bachmann said Sunday when asked by Chris Wallace whether the "rap" on her in Washington is accurate { VIDEO}. The question on "Fox News Sunday" arose in response to Bachmann uttering a couple of remarks that some have suggested are "gaffes," including talking about anti-America members of Congress and suggesting that NATO airstrikes had killed up to 30,000 civilians. "Well, I think that would be insulting, to say something like that, because I'm a serious person," Bachmann, R-Minn., said in response to the question, "Are you a flake?" Yesterday, Wallace apologized for the question in a video posted on the Fox News website, saying he was trying to broach a common criticism of the lawmaker but handled it badly. Bachmann joined Sean on ‘Hannity’ to discuss the controversy. “I received a telephone call from Chris Wallace at supper time and he offered his apology to me directly. I was happy to accept his apology,” Bachmann told Sean. Watch Sean’s entire interview wit h Bachmann by clicking here.

Dick Morris
Sean spoke with Dick Morris in the show’s final hour about George Stephanopoulos’ contentious interview with presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann. In her interview with the ABC Newsman Bachmann praised the founding fathers for having "worked tirelessly to end slavery." However, as Morris correctly pointed out, “Stephanopoulos is, as he’s always been, a mouth piece for the liberal wing of the Democratic Party and he’s just regurgitating the negative research talking points.” Morris explained that all of this negativity from the mainstream media is to be expected. “Be prepared for all kinds of garbage that will emerge in the future. Also none of these questions would ever be asked of a man,” Morris explained.
