No Recession For White House Staffers
Sean kicked off Thursday’s show by mentioning a great article written by Andrew Malcolm in the LA Times about the salaries of Obama’s White House Staff { Article}. The 9.1% national unemployment rate does not include the 454 people now helping President Obama do presidential things. This crowd is being paid a total of $37,121,463 this year. That's up seven staff members and nearly $4 million from 2008, the last year of George W. Bush's presidency. Fully 141 Obama aides -- or nearly one-in-three -- earn more than $100,000 a year. That's also up from the 130 with that scale salary in Bush's last year. “Private sector workers get paid less than those that work for the government,” said Sean. “The only place that job growth has occurred is with the government. White House staffers got a pay raise last year. You would think in a time where we have record debt and deficits that they would cut it. Nope, it’s not gonna happen,” Sean said grimly.

A Big Problem With U.S. Education
The Atlanta school district is reeling after investigators revealed 178 educators had cheated on standardized tests { Article} used to meet federal benchmarks dating back to 2001. The educators face possible criminal charges and could lose their teaching licenses for changing answers on students’ tests and helping students answer questions. Some may face charges of lying to investigators or tampering with state documents. “This is a real problem for U.S. education,” Sean commented. “Why? Because we’ve developed an ever increasing dependence on standardized tests. And our kids, I hate to say it, over all speaking, are not up to par with kids from other countries.”

What's Next for the Anthony Family?
George and Cindy Anthony fled the courtroom yesterday after the jury announced their daughter, Casey Anthony's acquittal. And now, according to "Radar Online," the couple is in hiding after receiving death threats over the Internet. From the looks of it, Casey's financial prospects are quite bright. ABC News reports that she stands to gain over $750,000 if she strikes a deal to write a tell-all book. She can even rake that money in while she's in jail. Also, Casey could net a similar sum for sitting down for an exclusive TV interview. So what's next for Casey and the rest of the Anthony family? Sean was joined by Fox News legal analysts Mercedes Colwin and defense attorney Rebecca Rose Woodland to discuss the future for the family. Watch the entire debate by clicking right here.
