Anointed One “Not Getting Much Sleep” Over Debt Crisis
In what is sure to affect his golf game, Obama is apparently “losing sleep” over the debt ceiling fiasco. In an attempt to turn the tide of anti-Obama sentiment top presidential aide Valerie Jarrett told reporters {Article} that “Obama is getting absolutely no sleep. He's working tirelessly, meeting with his economic team, doing a lot of outreach, exploring all kinds of possibilities for compromise." “Obama hasn’t put forth a plan yet!” Sean said incredulously. “Four days to go until Armageddon, according to Obama, and the president is letting Congress do all the work. Obama has been on the sidelines this entire time because he doesn’t have the courage of his convictions to go out there and put forth a plan that he’s willing to stand by. In principal the president knows his radical, ideological views are not in sync with the country. If he’s so confident his plan is better, why wouldn’t he have come out with his own plan?” Listen to Sean’s entire opening monologue by clicking right here.
The Freedom Agenda
As our federal government smashes through one debt ceiling after another, Americans are facing a dire future of inflation, economic stagnation, and ultimately, national insolvency. Our increasingly desperate situation stems from a broken political system in which Congress brazenly defies its constitutional limits, grabbing more and more power as it recklessly plunges our nation into dangerous territory. Sean invited Senator Mike Lee to the program to talk about his new book, “The Freedom Agenda,” which addresses many of these concerns. Lee detailed to Sean how the fight for a balanced budget amendment is a part of a larger battle to reign in our out-of-control Congress and how many major federal programs can – and must – be eliminated. “The Freedom Agenda” is a fascinating read and is the featured book in the Hannity Book Club. Obama or Republicans to Blame for Debt Ceiling Roadblock?
Sean invited Juan Williams onto ‘Hannity’ to debate the reasons for the delay in passing a resolution to deal with the debt ceiling fiasco. Sean blamed Obama and the Democrats for failure to produce a plan like the Republicans have to address the country’s mounting debt. Sean told Juan that Obama simply doesn’t have the political courage to go out and put his plan on paper. Sean went so far as to accuse Obama as being “spineless” and a “political coward.” Williams vehemently objected to Sean’s portrayal of the president. “This is so wrong and the way that you go after President Obama, hit on President Obama constantly and somehow escapes your attention that you have a group of people who have absolutely lost touch with reality with the financial risk they are putting the entire country, my pension plan, your pension plan.” Williams feebly tried to explain why Obama has spent more than any other president in history. “We had to spend money in terms of everything from bailouts to stimulus to try to avert the idea that our recession would turn into a depression.” You can watch the entire debate between Williams and Sean by clicking here.
