Behind The Scenes with Elisha
Hey fans, have you ever wondered what it takes to deliver Sean’s show every day? Now you can join Sean’s Senior Producer Elisha on an exclusive behind the scenes tour of The Hannity Show. How does Sean get his news during the day? How does the show actually get on air? What happens when I call the show? Check out this exclusive video on Hannity.com.
Donald Trump: How to Negotiate
“In your book, “Art of the Deal”, you have always said you need to always be willing to walk away from a deal at any point,” praised Sean, “The Republicans went into these negotiations with exactly the opposite attitude of fear.” “I’m not happy with the deal that the Republicans made,” shot back Hannity, “The worst part of the deal was that this issue isn’t coming due again until after the election so they’re doing the lame duck thing again.” Hannity pressed Sean again, “Have you ever negotiated against yourself?” Trump laughed and offered this, “The Republicans say there won’t be any tax increases but what’s going to happen to the Bush tax cuts?” It’s pretty clear that the GOP should’ve consulted Mr. Trump on negotiation tactics before closing the deal on the debt ceiling talks.
Newt Gingrich: Baseline Budget
“The problem with this deal is we will still accumulate $7 trillion in new debt and we only cut $67 billion,” an angry Hannity pressed Gingrich, “We’re not going to fix this problem and it’s only going to get worse.” “If the Republicans would attach reform that would simply say that in the future we’re going to count all spending from the current dollar value,” explained Gingrich, “This was the one thing that we failed to do when I was Speaker but this could’ve been the single biggest reform in the budget.” Gingrich went on to explain, “Imagine your kids said they had a baseline allowance and that it should go up by $20 a month and if you go up by any less than that we’ll consider it a cut to our allowance.” That’s an interesting explanation for how Washington does budgeting but it’s also the most appropriate.
