Obama To Address Unemployment…After A Vacation
“The Anointed One” today announced that he will address the nation to tackle the hard issues that face the country – after he takes a nice long vacation at his estate in Martha’s Vineyard. Now is not the time for a president to go on vacation. We need a president, hard at work, helping to find the way to solve our massive problems. “The height of hypocrisy here is unbelievable,” a disgusted Sean told his audience this afternoon. “Isn’t this kinda what you expect from Obama? Obama is going to go to his 28-acre compound for a vacation. That’s really reassuring. Do you really think that Obama is going to come back nearly 3 years into his presidency and come up with an economic plan that’s actually going to work? I kinda doubt it.” Daniel Ruth, writing for the St. Petersburg Times {Article} put it best: “No one begrudges any president time away from the stresses and demands of the job. But the juxtaposition and timing of spending a few days in the heartland of America on a listening tour of the jobless, followed up by a fancy-pants vacation in one of the most exclusively affluent enclaves in the nation is, to put it bluntly, a really boneheaded idea.”
Tea Party Activist Defends Obama Confrontation
Sean isn’t the only one who's wanted to call out "The Anointed One" on his blatant hypocrisy. Well, one man had a chance to do just that yesterday at a town hall in Iowa. Tea Party activist Ryan Rhodes asked Obama to explain how he can call for civility while his own vice-president accuses Tea Party members of being “terrorists.” Rhodes joined Sean on ‘Hannity’ to talk about his confrontation with the president. “Barack Obama says, he wants civility, he wants us to be mature. But then he sends his supporters out and says, ‘you need to get in their face’. If you want people to confront other people, then you better be ready to be confronted. You are not a king. We still elected you. And we still want to hold you accountable.” To see the video of Rhodes confronting the president and his interview with Sean, please click here.
Trump On 2012 Candidates
Donald Trump joined Sean to discuss the US economic woes and discussed the current crop of 2012 GOP presidential candidates. Trump was impressed with Rick Perry. “I think he's a very impressive guy with a very good record. So it'll be interesting to see how he does under the spotlight.” Trump had similar feelings for Bachmann. “She's a great, wonderful woman. I really got to know her a couple of weeks ago. And she is just energetic, very smart. I think she is badly treated by the press.” Trump also agreed with Warren Buffett’s op-ed piece in which he urged politicians to raise taxes on the “mega-rich.” Trump said he "would be willing" to see his tax rates increased from 17 percent to 25 percent. "But a lot of people wouldn't be," he said. "A lot of people would leave the country." Listen to Sean’s entire interview with Donald Trump by clicking right here.
