Critics try to attack Perry's intelligence

Critics Try To Paint Perry As "Dumb"
Sean welcomed presidential hopeful Gov. Rick Perry to the second hour of the program to discuss the economy and his campaign. Sean noted that Gov. Perry has created forty six percent of the stimulus jobs in his state of Texas. Yet Obama and Democrats have tried to paint Perry as "dumb." "It's the same old attacks they made on President Reagan and every prominent fiscal conservative. My bet is the better we do down here in Texas the more they're going to attack us. And that's fine. I think my record is going to stand the scrutiny of time across the country. What's dumb is to oversee an economy that has lost so many millions of jobs and has put unemployment numbers in his four years over nine percent. To put fiscal policies that were a disaster back in the 1930's and to try to use them again in the 2000's - that's what I call the definition of dumb," said Perry.

Obama's Illegal Uncle Had Valid SS Number
Sean opened Tuesday's show by discussing the news { Article} that Obama's accused drunken-driving uncle has had a valid Social Security number for at least 19 years, despite being an illegal immigrant ordered to be deported back to Kenya. "I'm no legal expet but I do believe trafficking illegal government documents is a crime," said an audibly disgusted Sean. "Apparently he was slurring his speech and glassy-eyed when he was pulled over last Wednesday in Framingham.

Is Obama Completely Committed to Creating Jobs?
Sean spoke with Austan Goolsbee, former White House economic adviser, about what President Obama's plans are for the economy when he returns from his vacation. Sean took a wild guess and felt whatever Obama proposed would involve more spending. "He's going to talk about new infrastructure, which means spending, another sort of stimulus," Sean said dryly. Austan disagreed, "That doesn't sound on track to the -- to the Obama I know." Instead Austan suggested Obama might try to find middle ground and spend only when both sides can agree. Rick Perry's political career started in 1985 as a representative for a rural West Texas district in the state House of Representatives. He was first elected to statewide office in 1990, and served as Texas Commissioner of Agriculture for two terms. Governor Perry hails from Paint Creek, a small farming community north of Abilene. His father, Ray Perry, served as a Haskell County Commissioner, school board member and a World War II tail gunner. Between 1972 and 1977, Governor Perry served in the United States Air... More >
