The no-so super committee

The Not-So Super Committee
Sean kicked off Tuesday’s show spotlighting the news of the day that the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction has failed to reach an agreement on possible reductions to government spending. House Speaker John Boehner released a statement today saying, ” Sadly, the so-called super committee was unable to reach agreement because President Obama and Washington Democrats insisted on dramatic tax hikes on American job creators, which would make our economy worse.” “This is the opposite of peace through strength,” an angry Hannity thought, “Obama is frankly reinforcing the worst in liberal ideology and this is what this President stands for.” Hannity continued, “He’s a big spender, big taxer, economically incompetent, class warfare warrior, cultural elitist and anti-defense. That’s who he is, that’s what he stands for.” This committee was charged with a set of goals, the most important of which was to cut government spending, and it reinforces the point Sean has been making for years, namely that Washington can’t do its job. "The Donald"
Donald Trump, author of the new book, “ Time to Get Tough” stopped by the show to chat about the 2012 GOP presidential nomination process. “It takes one good candidate and he or she has to beat Obama,” began Trump, “This guy has to go.” “Obama ran on hope and change,” offered Hannity, “Like your book he talked about how it’s important to make America number one again and now he’s turned negative talking about how conservatives want to kick grandma out into the street.” “The one thing I thought he’d be great at is a cheerleader for the country,” thought Trump, “I didn’t know how capable he was but it turns out that he’s the opposite.” Trump is certainly no fan of President Obama and it’ll be interesting to see who he is a fan of in 2012.

Can Obama Win?
Sean was joined by Dr. Marc Lamont Hill and Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson to talk about the likelihood of President Obama’s re-election possibilities. “The problem is the President has had his agenda rammed down our throats,” offered Hannity, “Everything was passed and now he’s blaming earthquakes, talk radio, Sean Hannity and now he seems to be lashing out at the American people.” “I don’t think he’s lashing out at the American people,” fought Hill, “I think the President will be the first to acknowledge that his administration hasn’t done all that they can do but his point is that everyone has work to do in all this.” “He’s not promoting class warfare,” offered Peterson, “By saying that he was going to attack the rich and that helped to cause the Occupy Wall Street movement.” “When you look at President Obama, do you really think he’s done a good job,” pressed Hannity. “If I had to give the President a grade, I’d give him a C+.” There are many who’d view that grade as a very generous one.
