Catholics forced to choose between faith and the law?

Catholics Forced To Choose Between Faith And The Law?
Religious groups, especially Catholics, have been outraged over a mandate put forth by the Obama administration requiring religious groups to comply with federal sex-related health insurance mandates. Obama's policy will require religious groups to pay fines if they decline to comply with the president's ethical preferences regarding health insurance and contraception beginning in 2013. This directive contained within Obamacare will require religious groups, principally the Catholic church, to include no-cost contraception and some abortion-related services in the medical insurance programs they provide to their employees outside churches. Sean was outraged. "They are going to force churches and people of conscience to do something that is fundamentally at odds with what they believe in - their religious faith and the free exercise of their religion. So now Catholics have a choice, they can either obey the law or they practice their faith. This now forces millions of pr o-life Americans to pay for services with their health insurance premiums that they find morally objectionable," Sean said angrily.

Obama's Super PAC Reversal
Sean added another item to the list of Obama's broken campaign promises after "The Anointed One" reversed his stance on super PACs yesterday. Obama's reelection campaign announced it would lend its support to a super PAC run by a former Obama aide. According to senior campaign officials, the president, who has been very critical of super PACs and the court decisions that helped to create them, signed off on his campaign lending support to Priorities USA Action. Sean correctly pointed out that the Obama campaign has made it a major point that their campaign does not raise money from lobbyists or political action committees. If Priorities USA Action allowed lobbyists to give money and attend events featuring Obama campaign officials, that would certainly undermine the lobbyist-free message of the campaign. "Just another one of his broken promises here. Obama has proven that he will literally do anything to win an election, including changing positions on the type of campa ign spending he called nothing short of a threat to our Democracy," said Sean. "It doesn't matter because Obama doesn't care. Forget about leading by example," a disgusted Sean added.

Israel, Iran On The Brink Of War?
National security issues are being injected back into the race for the White House as war games in Iran capture the attention of the West, while an apparent hostage crisis involving Americans develops on the ground in Egypt. Yesterday, the White House announced that it plans to impose new sanctions on Tehran in response to the regime's refusal to abandon their nuclear program. This announcement comes just days after Defense Secretary Leon Panetta revealed that he fears that Israel may preemptively strike Iran in April, May or June of this year. Sean invited former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani to the program to discuss this volatile situation. Giuliani was less than impressed with President's Obama's foreign policy. “The president has no clue as to what's going on there. I think he's living a fairly naive world. I mean, in fact, that's -- his whole, even whole situation with Libya which he gets a lot of credit for, in Libya, he led by following. Which means not leading,” Giulia ni said. The former mayor had similar feelings to “The Anointed One's” dealings with Iran. “I think the president has a lot of work do with Iran. Because I think he has created a lot of this problem with all that silliness about wanting to negotiate with them and begging to negotiate with them and not supporting.” You can watch Sean's entire interview with Rudy Giuliani in two parts by clicking PART ONE | PART TWO
