The Left's Double Standard
Rush Limbaugh has been under fire for comments he made about Sandra Fluke, especially from liberals. Yet more offensive comments uttered by liberals like Bill Maher seem to go unnoticed. Dr. Cathleen London and Kirsten Powers joined Sean to discuss the left's double standard. "I have this old fashioned viewpoint, that misogyny is bad no matter who is doing it. I think what Limbaugh said was despicable, but I also think there are a lot of problems on the Left. Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, Matt Taibbi, and Ed Schultz have been waging a war on women for years with their misogynist outbursts," Powers added. Dr. London disagreed. "To say that liberals have been okay with these sorts of comments [from the Left] is demonstrably false," said London. London disagreed with Sean that the president should come out and denounce comments made by Bill Maher and offer to give the comedian's one million dollar donation back. "SuperPACs are not allowed to coordinate with candidates," London argued. Sean interjected that Obama could at least speak out and admonish Maher for his derogatory comments. ObamaCare Costs Continue To Rise
The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office issued a new estimate this week of the cost of providing insurance coverage to Americans under ObamaCare. The estimated gross cost of providing coverage to uninsured people will be much higher than the CBO predicted just one year ago. Why? Fox Business host Stuart Varney and Dr. Lamont Hill joined Sean to discuss skyrocketing cost of ObamaCare. "This is going to get worse," said Varney. "It's going to cost a great deal more. They're not even factoring in a recent Harvard study that shows the shift of 30 million Americans onto Medicaid will actually cost one trillion dollars more over the next ten years than the government originally said it would. This is going to be much more expensive then we were ever lead to believe. I guess that's why Obama doesn't talk about it much anymore," Varney added. Democrats' Southern Strategy?: Voters Painted As Racist, Uneducated
A brand-new survey has been released that has stirred up quite a controversy. It was conducted by the Democratic Public Policy Polling group and attempts to paint Alabama and Mississippi conservatives as uninformed, uneducated and in some cases, racist. Among the questions asked was whether or not the president is a Christian or a Muslim, also whether or not interracial marriage should be legal, and even a a question about evolution. The results regarding the president's religion have received a lot of attention on the left-wing blogosphere. In Mississippi, the survey claims that 52 percent of respondents believe that President Obama is a Muslim while 12 percent say he's a Christian. And in Alabama, 45 percent allegedly believe that he is a Muslim and only 14 percent responded that he is a Christian. Sean invited Fox News contributor Tucker Carlson to 'Hannity' to discuss the hot-button issue. You can watch the entire interview by clicking here.
