MSNBC Makes Zero Mentions Of Trayvon Martin
Special guest host Mark Simone took the coveted Hannity microphone on Thursday and discussed several recent examples of left-wing media bias. One specific example Simone detailed was with MSNBC's coverage of the Trayvon Martin case. Quoting an article from Nina Rothman that appeared on today's Mediaite website (Article) Simone explained how in March and April, MSNBC’s primetime hosts ran with nearly wall-to-wall coverage of the killing of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. They regularly suggested that the lack of national interest in the case was worthy of outrage. As Rothman writes in her Mediaite column, “Last week, when an avalanche of new evidence favorable to George Zimmerman came to light, MSNBC’s primetime lineup didn’t just bury the story, they didn’t mention Martin or Zimmerman once the week that news broke according to media monitoring service TV Eyes.” “It's like the story never existed!” Simone said incredulously. 'Ground Zero Mosque' Imam Sets The Record Straight
Last night on 'Hannity' Sean was joined by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, a man who's often referred to as the "Ground Zero imam." The Cordoba Initiative Founder and Chairman Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf became a household name back in 2010 when he was the lead supporter of the then-proposed mosque at Ground Zero. The Islamic Center -- which has been renamed Park 51 -- is just steps away from where the World Trade Center towers once stood. Park 51 developers are still fund-raising to help complete the 15-floor center. Even though Imam Rauf is no longer associated with the project, he still stands believes it should be built and joined Sean in studio to explain why. “Our enemy is not Islam. Islam is not the enemy of America and Americans are not the enemy of Islam. Our real enemy is extremism and radicalism. This is the common enemy. The battlefront, Sean, is not between the Muslims and Americans. The real battlefront is between the moderates of all faith traditions against the extremists of all faith traditions,” the Imam explained. Tamara Holder On Chicago Protests
Liberal and Fox News contributor Tamara (rhymes with 'camera' as Mark Simone reminded the audience) called into the program to discuss futures exchange protests taking place in Chicago. Police arrested 15 people blocking the main artery through Chicago's financial district on Wednesday during a demonstration against state tax breaks won last year by CME Group, the world's largest futures exchange company. Holder, a Chicago native, expressed her disappointment with the way the protesters have conducted themselves. "This may surprise you coming from such a liberal like myself, but I'm upset about the behavior of these protesters. You can protest at any time but they absolutely shut down the entire downtown of Chicago. Many small business owners were hurt by this and I don't understand their rationale," Holder told Mark.
