President Trump is currently deciding the fate of Barack Obama’s executive order, issuing legal work status for illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States as minors. The program currently covers hundreds of thousands of individuals.
Should President Trump decide to rescind Obama’s immigration program, the issue would then move to Congress.
“It’s a decision that I make and it’s a decision that’s very very hard to make. I really understand the situation now,” Trump told journalists last month. “I understand the situation very well. What I’d like to do is a comprehensive immigration plan. But our country and political forces are not ready yet.”
