WORLD ON EDGE: President Trump to Visit Kim Jong Un's Doorstep

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.31.17

President Donald Trump may travel to the world’s most dangerous border during his trip to Asia next month, with officials saying the Commander-in-Chief is planning to tour the heavily-armed demilitarized zone between North and South Korea during his visit.

According to Reuters, sources inside the Department of Defense say they are planning the President’s trip to South Korea, which will likely include a personal visit to the DMZ, the most heavily guarded border on the planet.

Officials say the President plans to send “significant message” to dictator Kim Jong Un during his trip to the region, but would not elaborate on what that message may look like.

A visit to the DMZ, previously toured by Vice President Mike Pence and former President Barack Obama, is intended to signify America’s firm commitment to its allies in the region.

The war of words between President Trump and despot Kim Jong Un have heated up in recent weeks, following two ballistic missile tests over Japanese territory and a successful hydrogen bomb explosion. The tests prompted the United Nations to impose harsh new sanctions on the hermit kingdom, severely limiting its ability to import fuel and food.

On Monday, President Trump warned the nation that “25 years” worth of diplomacy has failed, adding that the time for negotiations was rapidly coming to an end.

“Our country has been unsuccessfully dealing with North Korea for 25 years, giving billions of dollars & getting nothing. Policy didn’t work!” said the President on twitter.
