HOLLYWOOD SILENCE: Bob Weinstein, Harvey's Brother, Accused of Harassment

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.11.17

A female television executive has accused Hollywood big-shot Bob Weinstein, brother of Harvey Weinstein, of prolonged sexual harassment over the course of three months while working on a project, reports Variety.

Amanda Segel, a showrunner for Spike TV’s ‘The Mist’ alleges that Bob Weinstein repeatedly harassed her, making inappropriate comments and routinely asking her to private dinners during the summer of 2016. According to Segel’s lawyer, she informed Weinstein Company executives of the incidents, threatening to abandon the project if Weinstein continued his behavior.

“‘No’ should be enough,” Segel said. “After ‘no,’ anybody who has asked you out should just move on. Bob kept referring to me that he wanted to have a friendship. He didn’t want a friendship. He wanted more than that. My hope is that ‘no’ is enough from now on.”

Representatives from Bob Weinstein’s office outright denied the allegations, saying “he denies any claims that he behaved inappropriately.”

“Bob Weinstein had dinner with Ms. Segel in LA in June 2016. He denies any claims that he behaved inappropriately at or after the dinner. It is most unfortunate that any such claim has been made,” said the statement.

Segel’s accusations come as Hollywood liberals struggle to deal with the fall-out from Harvey Weinstein’s decades long sex scandals. A-list celebrities and prominent Democrats continue to claim they were oblivious to Weinstein’s antics, even though rumors had persisted in Hollywood for years.
