PATHETIC: Frederica Wilson Accuses John Kelly of 'Character Assassination'

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.21.17

Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson accused President Trump’s Chief of Staff of “character assassination” over the weekend; claiming General Kelly intentionally misled the public over comments she made during a building dedication.

The liberal lawmaker was speaking with MSNBC’s Joy Reid when she was asked to comment on Chief of Staff John Kelly’s press briefing last week, saying the Gold Star father had “lied” about comments she made while addressing an FBI building dedication in south Florida.

“A congresswoman stood up, and in a long tradition of empty barrels making the most noise, stood up there in all of that and talked about how she was instrumental in getting the funding for that building,” said Kelly during the press briefing.

“Not only does he owe me an apology, but he owes an apology to the American people,” said Wilson. “We had four soldiers who died. They have been buried […] And we need to know why, and we need to know about the special circumstances surrounding [slain soldier] La David Johnson.”

The left-leaning legislator made national headlines last week when she accused President Trump of making “insensitive” remarks to the widow of a soldier recently killed in an ambush in Niger, accusing the President of saying “he knew what he was getting into.”
