Former President Barack Obama’s CIA director publicly called for a thorough investigation of Hillary Clinton and her senior staff on Thursday, after a bombshell report named the Clinton campaign as the source behind the infamous ‘Trump Dossier.’
Leon Panetta was speaking on CNN when he made the startling suggestion, saying the Intel Committee needs to probe ties between Russian officials and Clinton, campaign chair John Podesta, and former DNC boss Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
“Well, it’s obviously something that the intelligence committee is going to have to look at,” said the CIA chief.
“You know, knowing presidential campaigns, they’re big operations and somehow the left hand may not know what the right hand is doing. And that could be the case here, but I really do think that the committee is going to have to get into this, determine just exactly what happened. Who knew what and when,” he added.
Hillary’s campaign and the DNC came under fire this week after a report confirmed prominent Democrats shelled out millions to shady opposition research firm Fusion GPS to finance the ‘Trump Dossier.’
