Las Vegas Police now believe the lone gunman’s girlfriend may be hiding crucial information related to the deadliest mass shooting in American history, saying she may have known something about the pending attack but the department couldn’t “pull that out of her.”
According to Fox News, Sheriff Joseph Lombardo was speaking with a local Las Vegas television network when he was asked about Stephen Paddock’s longtime girlfriend Marilou Danley, adding that he felt “something was off.”
“There is a lot of people that have hundreds and hundreds of guns, but for this individual to do it at a certain point in time and to do it all with such robust action, you would think that Ms. Danley would have some information associated with that,” said Lombardo. “But currently we haven’t been able to pull that out of her, if it’s in her.”
Danley was in the Philippines when Paddock opened fire on the crowd of concert goers, claiming her boyfriend had sent her out of the country so she wouldn’t “prevent the attack.”
The mystery surrounding the Las Vegas rampage that left 58 people dead and hundreds injured continues to grow this week, with investigators confirming that a police officer fired a weapon inside Paddock’s 32nd story hotel suite after SWAT teams entered the room.
