President Trump unloaded on Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday, telling reporters he was “disappointed” with the Department of Justice over its unwillingness to investigate the myriad of scandals surrounding Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.
Trump was speaking with journalists moments before he was set to depart for a trip to Asia when he was asked whether he would fire the Attorney General if the “Justice Department doesn’t take action.”
“Will you fire Jeff Sessions if the Justice Department doesn’t take action?” asked one reporter.
“I don’t know. I’m really not involved with the Justice Department, I’d like to let it run itself. But honestly, they should be looking at the Democrats, they should be looking at Podesta and all that dishonesty,” said the President.
“They should be looking at a lot of things, and a lot of people are disappointed in the Justice Department, including me,” he added.
