North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un lashed-out at President Trump on Monday, blasting the Commander-in-Chief as a “lunatic old man” as the American president prepares to visit the Korean peninsula for the first time.
According to Fox News, the despot threatened the United States through the state-run Korean news agency, saying “No one can predict when the lunatic old man of the White House, lost to senses, will start a nuclear war against [North Korea].”
“The U.S. should not expect us to make any change,” added the spokesperson.
The statement was released just as President Trump touched down in the region to begin his five-nation tour. Trump first met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe over the weekend, where he referred to Kim Jong UN as a “threat to the civilized world.”
“Some people say my rhetoric is very strong but look what has happened with very weak rhetoric in the last twenty-five years,” said Trump.
South Korean officials believe Kim Jong Un is preparing to launch an intercontinental ballistic missile or nuclear test during Trump’s visit to South Korea, saying they’ve detected “active movement” at Kim’s testing facilities.
