President Trump wrapped up his two-week trip through Asia on Tuesday, returning to Washington after his five-nation journey that sought to remake America’s position across the region.
The White House released a highlight reel of the President’s historic visit, where he met with foreign leaders and forged a global coalition to deal with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un’s rapidly expanding nuclear and missile programs.
Earlier this week, President Trump addressed foreign leaders over his administration’s commitment to combat threats throughout the region, but added that he will always “put America first.”
“I wish previous administrations in my country saw what was happening and did something about it. They did not, but I will,” he added. “From this day forward we will compete on a fair and equal basis. We are not going to let the United States be taken advantage of anymore.”
“I am always going to put America first the same way I expect all of you in this room to put your countries first,” said the President. “That is the message I am here to deliver.”
