The President’s comments come months after he initially lashed-out at the NFL for allowing its players to remain seated during the anthem, calling for a national boycott against the “disgraceful” organization until the league changes their policy regarding on-field political statements.

The ensuing controversy has been a disaster for the NFL, with television viewership reaching all-time lows and stadium attendance in a free fall throughout the country.
