KIM'S CRACKDOWN: North Korea Bans Singing, Drinking Alcohol

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.26.17

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is launching a nation-wide crackdown on all leisure activities, such as singing and drinking alcohol, as his regime struggles to maintain control as crippling UN sanctions wreak havoc on the nation’s already-struggling economy.

According to South Korean intelligence officials, Kim’s regime announced a blanket ban on “any gatherings related to drinking, singing, and other entertainment” in an effort to maintain control of its military officials; the only segment of the population with access to such activities.

“The North has been focusing on forestalling a possible negative impact of the tightening international sanctions on public sentiment,” wrote a South Korean newspaper. “(Pyongyang) has devised a system whereby party organs report people’s economic hardships on a daily basis, and it has banned any gatherings related to drinking, singing and other entertainment and is strengthening control of outside information,”

Kim’s crackdown comes just days after President Trump toured South Korea as part of his two-week long journey throughout Asia. During his visit, the President said no human being deserves to “live in the hell” that is North Korea.

The communist nation fired-back at Trump, accusing the Commander-in-Chief of declaring war on the hermit kingdom, and saying he has been “sentenced to death” after referring to Kim Jong Un as “short and fat.”
