ALL OUT WAR: Governor Brown Says TRUMP 'AT WAR' with the State of California

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.07.18

California Governor Jerry Brown slammed the Trump administration Wednesday afternoon following Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ address to law enforcement officials in Sacramento; saying the White House has declared “war” against his state.

The Governor was speaking with reporters at the state Capitol when he viciously attacked Sessions’ remarks, claiming it was “unprecedented” that the federal government would “basically go to war” against California.

“This is really unprecedented for the chief law enforcement officer of the United States to come out to California and act more like Fox News than a law enforcement officer. This is a political stunt,” said the liberal leader. “We know the Trump administration is full of liars. They’ve pled guilty already to the special counsel.”

“This is basically going to war against the state of California, the engine of the American economy. It’s not wise, it’s not right, and it will not stand,” Brown added.

The Governor’s harsh rhetoric was a stark rebuke to the Attorney General’s comments from earlier Wednesday, when the nation’s top law enforcement official re-affirmed that “federal law” is the “supreme law of the land.”

“There is no nullification. There is no secession. Federal law is the supreme law of the land. I would invite any doubters to go to Gettysburg, to the tombstones of John C. Calhoun and Abraham Lincoln. This matter has been settled,” Sessions said.
