AMERICA’S GAME? NFL Blocks New AD MOCKING North Korean Dictator

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.03.18

The National Football League continues to struggle with patriotic fans and furious viewers as it heads into its iconic Super Bowl weekend; this time rejecting an advertisement poking fun at North Korean despot Kim Jong Un.

According to the Daily Caller, the ad takes a light-hearted jab at the brutal dictator, with an actor portraying Kim attempting -but failing- to steal AML BitCoin’s “crypto-currency” to highlight the digital cash’s security measures against foreign hackers.

Apparently, the advertisement was “too political” for the National Football League, which made headlines throughout the 2017 season for overt political demonstrations on the field.

“We have been informed by our media buyers that the network carrying the NFL’s Super Bowl game, NBC, will not accept our television ad ‘North Korea Can’t Steal AML BitCoin’ for placement during the broadcast.” AML Bitcoin president Marcus Andrade said.

“An ad taking Kim Jong-un, dictator of North Korea, to task in a humorous and biting way should not be offensive to anyone,” he added. “Our ad reminds viewers that Kim Jong-un and his army of hackers have been stealing billions of dollars of Bitcoin and other digital currencies for the past few years.”

The NFL’s rejection comes just days after the league angered patriotic fans when it refused to allow a veteran’s group to place a pro-American advertisement in the official Super Bowl program.

AMERICA'S GAME? NFL REJECTS Pro-Veteran SUPER BOWL Ad

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.23.18

The National Football League continued to reach new lows on Tuesday; flat-out rejecting a one-page advertisement in the NFL’s official Super Bowl Program that urged all Americans to “Please Stand” during the performance of the national anthem, reports USA Today.

The ad -submitted by pro-veteran’s organization AMVETS- urged all those attending the big game to remain standing as the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ rings out inside the arena. The material was ultimately rejected by the league for violating the NFL’s commitment to avoiding “political statements” in the program.

“The Super Bowl game program is designed for fans to commemorate and celebrate the game, players, teams and the Super Bowl,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told USA Today.

“It’s never been a place for advertising that could be considered by some as a political statement. The NFL has long supported the military and veterans and will again salute our service members in the Super Bowl with memorable on-field moments that will be televised as part of the game,” he added.

The NFL’s been struggling to come to terms with a disastrous 2017 postseason following months of players “taking a knee” during the performance of the national anthem. President Trump rocketed the issue into the spotlight after he called for a full-fledged boycott of the NFL until league owners demand their athletes remain standing during the ‘Star-Spangled Banner.’

END ZONE: Thousands of FURIOUS FANS Sign NFL PETITION After Veterans’ Super Bowl Snub

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.29.18

Tens of thousands of furious football fans have signed a petition urging the National Football League to “reconsider” its despicable decision to bar a veterans group from placing an ad during the upcoming Super Bowl, saying the decision showed the NFL’s “blatant hypocrisy” against the armed forces.

The American Family Association has gathered more than 78,000 signatures calling on the embattled league to allow pro-veterans organization AMVETS to place an advertisement that asks all those in attendance to “Please Stand” during the performance of the national anthem.

“Take note of the irony that AMVETS points out,” said the president of the American Family Association. “The NFL continues to claim that the anti-American protests by millionaire players on the field represent ‘free speech,’ yet the league is denying free speech to AMVETS.”

“I am appalled to learn the NFL has decided to reject a patriotic ad by AMVETS. Rejecting an ad that simply encourages Americans to stand for the national anthem and our flag is an insult to every veteran who has served in our nation’s military,” says the organization’s petition. “In the strongest possible terms, I urge you to stop the blatant hypocrisy and accept the patriotic ad by AMVETS as originally submitted.”

The NFL struggled throughout the 2017 season to appease both furious fans and protesting players as athletes continued to kneel during the ‘Star-Spangled Banner.’ The resulting chaos caused television ratings and sales to plummet throughout the country.

Industry experts say the player protests have caused the NFL at least $500 million in 2017 alone.
