Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders unloaded on Amazon owner Jeff Bezos Tuesday, releasing a scathing statement that slammed the corporation’s “demanding working conditions” and asked employees to share their stories on his website.
Sanders -who just this week blasted Disneyland for refusing to raise their minimum wage- blind-sided Bezos on social media, posting “Amazon is one of the wealthiest corporations in the world, and its owner, Jeff Bezos, is the richest man on the planet, worth over $155 billion.”
“Despite this, Bezos continues to pay many thousands of his Amazon employees wages that are so low that they are forced to depend on taxpayer-funded programs such as food stamps, Medicaid and subsidized housing to survive,” added the statement.

“Amazon is proud to have created over 130,000 new jobs last year alone. These are good jobs with highly competitive pay and full benefits,” added an Amazon spokesperson.

BERNIE BREAKS WITH DEMS: Sanders Says Trump-Kim Summit a ‘POSITIVE STEP’
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders publicly praised President Trump’s Singapore summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un Tuesday, saying the meeting was a “positive step” towards “de-escalating” tensions in the region.
The socialist Senator broke with Democrats after Pelosi slammed Trump’s high-stakes summit as “hasty,” adding Trump’s negotiation will help minimize the risk of nuclear war across the globe.
“While very light on substance, Trump and Kim Jong Un’s meeting is a positive step in de-escalating tensions and addressing the threat of North Korea’s nuclear weapons. Congress has a key role to play in making sure this is a meaningful process, not just a series of photo ops,” tweeted Sanders.

The Senator’s comments come on the heels of Trump’s announcement that the US will halt all future war games with the South Korean military; saying the drills are too costly and too “provocative” at this sensitive time.
BERNIE GOES OFF: Sanders Thanks DC Liberals for Advancing ‘EXTREMIST IDEAS’
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders raised eyebrows throughout the nation’s capital Wednesday, thanking DC liberals for transforming “radical” and “extremist ideas” into “mainstream American ideas.”
Sanders was speaking at the ‘We the People’ summit in Washington, DC when he praised those in attendance for helping to advance his liberal message, saying his supporters have brought those “fringe ideas” to the masses.
“Many of the ideas that we talked about were thought to be fringe ideas, radical ideas, extremist ideas,” said the Vermont Senator. “Well, you know what? Because of your efforts, those ideas are mainstream American ideas.”
“I want to thank all of the groups here, because whether you know it or not, you have helped transform this country in so many ways,” he added.
