BITTER TWITTER: GOP Leader Demands CEO Testimony Over ‘CENSORING’ Conservatives

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.03.18

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy is demanding answers from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey after repeated allegations the social network “hid” or “censored” material from prominent conservatives and Republicans.

McCarthy officially requested a public committee hearing with Dorsey after recent revelations that the platform engaged in “shadow banning,” the practice of hiding or banning tweets without the author’s knowledge.

“Recently we learned that Twitter limited the visibility of certain conservative accounts, so that some of their tweets did not appear in searches and their accounts were more difficult to find through the search feature,” McCarthy wrote. “This ‘shadow ban’ made it harder for users to get information about certain public officials—or even to learn that their social media presence existed.”

“Twitter ultimately implemented a change to stop penalizing conservatives, but serious questions remain about how and why the company filters content on its platform,” McCarthy added.

BUSTED: Undercover Video Shows Twitter ‘SHADOW BANNING’ Conservatives

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.11.18

In their latest undercover exposé, Project Veritas and James O’Keefe published a bombshell report this week showing Twitter employees actively engaging in “shadow banning” and other covert techniques in an attempt to silence conservative voices on social media.

The explosive video demonstrates how former and current engineers at Twitter utilize shady policies and backdoor tricks to quash “political opponents” and reduce the number of users able to view their posts.

“One strategy is to shadow ban so you have ultimate control. The idea of a shadow ban is that you ban someone but they don’t know they’ve been banned, because they keep posting and no one sees their content. So, they just think that no one is engaging with their content, when in reality, no one is seeing it,” said a former engineer at the social media giant.

“There was, I would say… Twitter was probably about 90% Anti-Trump, maybe 99% Anti-Trump,” added a former Content Review Agent.

More disturbing, employees detailed how they routinely share personal information and even deleted tweets with the Department of Justice, particularly regarding President Donald Trump; saying that Twitter is “more than happy to help the Department of Justice with their little [Trump] investigation.”

FACEBOOK FAIL: Social Media Boss APOLOGIZES to Diamond & Silk Over Censorship

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.17.18

A high-ranking Facebook executive issued an official apology to pro-Trump duo Diamond and Silk Tuesday, admitting the social media giant “mistreated” and “badly mishandled” the conservative twosome.

According to the NY Post, Global Policy Management Chief Monika Bickert admitted the mistake while speaking before the House Judiciary Committee.

“We badly mishandled our communications with them,” she told Congressional leaders.

Diamond and Silk were thrust into the national headlines earlier this year after their pro-Trump content was suddenly removed from Facebook.

The social network claimed their comments posed a threat “to the community.”

The women appeared before a Congressional committee weeks later; slamming the media giant for censoring their opinion and violating their First Amendment rights.
