Former Vice President and climate change crusader Al Gore urged the Senate to reject President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State Thursday, claiming Mike Pompeo was unqualified because he “denies the climate crisis.”
Gore took to twitter to slam Trump’s pick to lead the State Department, saying the former CIA chief has been “doing the bidding” for fossil fuel corporations for years; adding the American people “deserve better.”
“Senators should reject Mike Pompeo’s nomination to be Secretary of State. He denies the climate crisis, and has been doing the bidding for fossil fuel interests his whole career. The American people deserve better,” tweeted Gore.

The former Vice President’s comments come months after the global warming alarmist feverishly attempted to explain a brutally cold winter throughout the Northern Hemisphere; bizarrely suggesting that global warming is now causing “global cooling.”
REPORT: Al Gore's Mansion Uses 21x More Energy Than the Average US Home
Climate-change crusader Al Gore’s private mansion outside Nashville, Tennessee uses approximately 21x more energy than the average household in the United States; sparking fresh criticism for the former Vice President as he releases his new movie focusing on global warming.
The new report, released by the National Center for Public Policy Research, analyzed information provided by the utility company that supplies electricity to the former Vice President’s estate. According to Fox News, the data shows Gore’s 10,000 square foot mansion used over 230,000 kilowatt hours over a twelve-month period.
The United States Energy Information Administration estimates the average American household consumes only 11,000 kilowatt hours per year.
“It makes you wonder if he believes what he’s actually saying,” said the author of the report. “Here’s a guy who’s basically exploited concerns about the environment to make $300 million dollars and win the Nobel Prize. It makes you wonder what his real agenda is.”
“This is a guy who won’t take the steps in his own life to reduce his own energy consumption,” he added.
Gore is currently promoting his new climate change film, “An Inconvenient Sequal: Truth to Power,” a follow-up to the award-winning documentary “An Incovenient Truth.”
BRAIN FREEZE: New Study Says GLOBAL WARMING Causes 'COLDER WINTERS'
Climate scientists and global warming alarmists have yet another explanation for the frigid temperatures and multiple snowstorms pummeling the US this winter; arguing that “rising arctic temperatures” actually causes colder weather.
The study, titled “Warm Arctic episodes linked with increased frequency of extreme winter weather in the United States,” was published online this week by Nature Communications. The academic journal claims “seesaw temperatures” are behind the giant winter storms that struck the east coast of the US this season.
“As the Arctic transitions from a relatively cold state to a warmer one, the frequency of severe winter weather in mid-latitudes increases through the transition,” writes the article.
“These findings suggest that the continuation of rapid Arctic warming and melting contribute to more frequent episodes of severe winter across the [Northern Hemisphere] mid-latitude continents,” adds the author.
The study echoes comments made by notorious climate-change alarmist Al Gore last year, where he explained that the “bitter cold” gripping the US was “exactly” what one would expect as a result of global warming.
It’s bitter cold in parts of the US, but climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann explains that’s exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis. https://t.co/6UfJ9Xxpq6
