BREAKING: Jury Finds Paul Manafort Guilty on Eight Charges, MISTRIAL for Remaining Ten

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.21.18

A federal jury in Virginia has reached a decision regarding former Trump campaign insider Paul Manafort’s Mueller probe; finding Manafort guilty on eight charges and failing to come to a consensus on the remaining ten.

“In a note passed to Judge T.S. Ellis III on Tuesday afternoon, the jury said it reached a verdict on eight counts. But the jury said it could not come to a decision on ten of the 18 counts,” writes Fox News.

“The jury began deliberating last Thursday after a three week trial where prosecutors said Manafort hid income earned from political work overseas from the IRS while fraudulently obtaining millions in bank loans.  Manafort, 69, had pleaded not guilty,” adds the site.

“The judge in the financial crimes trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has declared a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a verdict on 10 counts of the 18,” writes ABC News.

MANAFORT MAYHEM: Judge Ellis Receives DEATH THREATS, Now Traveling with US MARSHALS

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.17.18

The federal judge presiding over Paul Manafort’s tax-evasion case confirmed Friday that he has received multiple death threats since the beginning of the trial; adding he now travels with US Marshals to ensure his safety.

“U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III made the comments as the jury deliberated for the second day, and as he rejected a motion to release information about the jurors. He said he’s confident the jurors would be threatened as well if their information was public,” write Fox News.

“The Marshals go where I go,” Ellis said, confirming the existence of his recent security detail.

The judge’s comments come after a number of news outlets requested he publicly release the names of the jurors in the Manafort trial, citing a potential safety hazard for those involved.

MANAFORT STRIKES BACK: Former Trump Aide SUES DOJ, Mueller, Rosenstein

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.03.18

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is fighting back against the Department of Justice and the special counsel’s office; suing the DOJ, Robert Mueller, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein over allegations they overstepped their boundaries while investigating whether Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

The paperwork claims that the special counsel’s office intentionally targeted Manafort, eventually indicting him on charges that are completely unrelated to allegations the Trump campaign “colluded” with Russia to steal the election from Hillary Clinton.

“The investigation of Mr. Manafort is completely unmoored from the Special Counsel’s original jurisdiction to investigate ‘any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump,’” the complaint states.

“It has instead focused on unrelated, decade-old business dealings—specifically, Ukraine political campaign consulting activities of Mr. Manafort.”

“The actions of DOJ and Mr. Rosenstein in issuing the Appointment Order, and Mr. Mueller’s actions pursuant to the authority the Order granted him, were arbitrary, capricious, and not in accordance with the law,” adds the court filings.

The former campaign chairman was indicted in late October on a dozen counts related to illegal financial transfers and business dealings, and have yielded zero connections to the President or those closest to him.
