BUSTED: Bernie Claims he Purchased ‘CARBON OFFSETS’ to ‘Balance' Use of Private Jet

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.06.18

Bernie Sanders’ campaign publicly responded to a recent report that showed the Vermont Senator had spent $300,000 in private jet travel in October alone; saying they purchased “carbon offsets” to help “balance out the emissions.”

“This expense was for transportation for the senator’s 9-day, 9-state tour to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot ahead of Election Day,” said campaign spokesperson Arianna Jones.

“The campaign purchased carbon offsets from NativeEnergy to support renewable energy projects and invest in carbon reduction projects to balance out the emissions produced on the trip,” Jones told the Daily Caller.

According to the DC, the same day Sanders’ campaign paid for the private travel he called climate change a “planetary crisis.”

“Climate change is a planetary crisis. Our task is clear. We must take on the fossil fuel industry that’s largely responsible for global emissions and accelerate our transition toward energy efficiency and sustainable energy sources,” Sanders said October 10th.

CASH TO BERN: Sanders Spends $40k on Private Jets in Just 3 Months

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.19.17

Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders’ campaign spent nearly $40,000 on private plane travel last quarter; jetting around the country while slamming the “devastating” impacts of climate change and hypocritically calling for higher carbon and emission taxes.

According to Fox News, Friends of Bernie Sanders spent $37,567 to rent private charter planes during the third quarter of 2017; using the luxury jets to fly across the country and deliver speeches calling for higher taxes and warning of the impacts of global warming.

Official documents show the campaign renting the private aircraft from Apollo Jets, an aviation company that offers luxury planes that could potentially accommodate upwards of 500 people or “plush business class chairs for 50 or more.”

“The scientific community is clear: Global warming is real and it is caused by human activity. In terms of droughts, heat waves, floods, forest fires, disease, rising sea levels and extreme weather disturbances, global warming is already causing devastating problems,” wrote Sanders in an op-ed published by the Huffington Post in 2014.

“A carbon tax must be a central part of our strategy for dramatically reducing carbon pollution,” he added.

CLIMATE? SOCIALISM? Bernie Sanders Spent $300K on Private Jet Travel in October

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.05.18

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders raised eyebrows among his fellow Democratic-Socialists and climate-change activists this week; with new FEC filings showing the potential 2020 candidate spending $300,000 on private jet travel in just nine days.

The recently released documents show Sanders spent $297,658.50 in October for a nine-day, nine-state campaign tour ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

“This cost covered the entirety of the tour from Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Carolina, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, California, and back to Vermont,” said a spokesperson with VtDigger.com, the first outlet to report the expenses.

“According to federal campaign finance reports, Friends of Bernie Sanders, the senator’s official 2018 Senate campaign committee, spent $297,685.50 with Apollo Jets, a private charter jet service headquartered in New York. The report does not break down the number of trips or where they were taken. The check was issued on Oct. 10, according to the report,” writes the VTDigger.
