CALIFORNIA CHAOS: Trump Thanks Politicians Who ‘REBELLED’ Against Sanctuary Laws

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.16.18

President Trump praised local California officials who are leading the “rebellion” against the state’s ‘Sanctuary’ policies Wednesday, saying they’ve “bravely resisted” the Golden State’s “unconstitutional” immigration guidelines.

The President hosted a round-table discussion of California politicians who defied state officials and voted to reject the rule that prohibits local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration agents.

“Each of you has bravely resisted California’s deadly and unconstitutional sanctuary state laws,” Trump said at the White House. “You’ve gone through a lot, too, although it’s become quite popular what you do.”

“The state of California’s attempts to nullify federal law have sparked a rebellion by patriotic citizens who want their families protected and their borders secured,” Trump added. “They want border security and they want protection.”

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: Local Community FIGHTS BACK Against ‘Sanctuary’ TENT CITY

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.26.18

Local residents in southern California are fighting back against a two-mile long stretch of makeshift homeless shelters in Orange County; demanding officials crackdown on “human waste” and “used needles” that riddle the encampment, reports Fox News.

In stark contrast from local governments in Los Angeles and San Francisco, the Orange County authorities are beginning to clamp down on the tent city, describing the “illegal” housing as a major public health concern.

“It’s becoming part of the permanent landscape in those communities and there is no way we are going to allow Orange County land that is supposed to be used by residents to be occupied by the homeless,” said a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

In response to public pressure, the county council cleared nearly 25 tons of trash, over 1,000 pounds of “human waste” and over 5,000 needles from the camp.

The ACLU and other human rights activists have denounced the move, filing a civil rights lawsuit to stop the county’s crackdown after the decision was officially approved by the council.

‘That isn’t going to happen in our county. It’s not going to be our skid row,” added the Orange County supervisor.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: One Small Town FIGHTS BACK Against ‘SANCTUARY’ Laws

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.19.18

The second-smallest city in Orange County, California is gearing up for a major legal battle against the state’s outrageous ‘Sanctuary City’ policies; with the local government voting Monday on whether they plan to opt out of the “California Values Act” that prohibits cooperation between local police and federal immigration agents

According to the Orange County Register, the city of Los Alamitos will hold a vote this week to withdraw from the state’s policies that buck federal guidelines regarding illegal immigration; saying the state law “may be in direct conflict with federal laws and the Constitution of the United States.”

“The proposed ordinance might be the first local attempt in California to officially challenge the law, said Kathleen Kim, a Loyola Marymount University law professor who specializes in immigrants’ rights and human trafficking,” writes the Register.

“Everyone holding elective office takes the same oath to uphold the laws to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. It doesn’t say unless the state legislature decides otherwise,” a community activist told the OCR. “I do believe somewhere in our history, we fought a war to prevent states from ignoring the law of the land and preserving the union.”

The city’s decision to fight back against the state’s ‘Sanctuary’ policies comes just days after President Trump toured the region; calling on officials to fund his border wall prototypes and cooperate with ICE agents in cracking down on illegal immigrants residing in the United States.
