Sen. Cory Booker raised eyebrows across the country on social media Monday; posting a confusing, anti-Trump poem that accused the President of “escaping accountability” and “re-writing history.”
“The weak
Rewrite history
To escape accountability.
This is a Trump Shutdown,” tweeted the Senator from New Jersey and potential 2020 candidate.

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel unloaded on Sen. Cory Booker Tuesday, slamming the New Jersey legislator for using “crocodile tears” to fundraise off President Trump’s pick to join the Supreme Court.
McDaniel blasted Booker hours after Brett Kavanaugh arrived at the US Capitol to kick-start his Senate confirmation process; saying the left-wing lawmaker was using the public hearings to raise funds for his campaign.
“Cory Booker is using his crocodile tears as a ploy to raise money. It’s pathetic,” she tweeted.

“We say an oath that we are a nation of liberty and justice for all, but that’s just words… How are we living our civic gospel that demands for us to reject the normalcy of injustice?” asked Booker.
“I’m a big believer that if this country hasn’t broken your heart then you don’t love her enough. There are things that are savagely wrong in this country,” he added.
