CRASH AND BURN: NFL Season Opener DOWN 8% from 2017, Lowest in FIVE YEARS

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.07.18

Furious fans continue to flee the NFL after two-years of players “taking a knee” during the performance of the US national anthem, with Thursday night’s season opener down a stunning 8% from 2017.

The dreadful figures are the lowest ratings posted for a September start since 2013 as viewers continue to change the channel to avoid overt political demonstrations on-field during the pre-game ceremonies.

“With a 13.4/5 in the metered markets, the post-midnight ending game is down 8% from last year’s kickoff of September 7, 2017. In one of the lowest season openers ratingswise and facing portions of a cable news-covered rally by a very NFL critical President Donald Trump, last night’s game is not only down from last year, but 2016, 2015 and 2014 – all of which saw successive declines,” writes Deadline Hollywood.

The low ratings come just days after Nike released their controversial “Sacrifice Everything” advertisement featuring former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick; sparking outrage from football fans across the country.

HANNITY TO NIKE: This is What REAL SACRIFICE Looks Like

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.05.18

Speaking during his opening monologue on ‘Hannity’ Tuesday night, Sean took a minute to remind Nike executives what “real sacrifice” looks like after the iconic brand named Colin Kaepernick as the face of its new ad campaign.

“Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick […] famously refused to stand for the national anthem during the games. Nike is now using Kaepernick to headline its new ad campaign: ‘Believe in something even if it means sacrificing everything,’” said Hannity.

“I’d like to take a moment to remind Nike executives that ‘sacrificing everything’ is not a multi-millionaire, social justice warrior whose greatest feat of bravery is kneeling on a football field,” he added. “Those who sacrifice everything can be found on the ground in Afghanistan as we speak.”

IT BEGINS: Colorado Sporting Goods Store DITCHES NIKE PRODUCTS Over Kaepernick Ad

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.06.18

A local sporting goods store in Colorado Springs, Colorado abruptly pulled all Nike products from their shelves Thursday; citing the iconic brand’s controversial advertisement campaign featuring professional protester Colin Kaepernick.

According to NBC, the owner of Prime Time Sports decided to ditch the shoemaker after their “Sacrifice Everything” campaign went viral on social media, saying “I gotta do what I gotta do. I’m just doing it”

The owner recalls his father-in-law’s experience as a Prisoner of War, adding “He said the hardest part for me was watching his fellow soldiers get beat up and killed in front of him and he couldn’t defend them because it would have cost him his life.”

“So Colin, you don’t know what sacrifice is, you just don’t know what it is, in my opinion,” he added.
